    Located in Atlantic, IA, Atlantic Specialty Care is licensed to provide quality care to up to 90 residents, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We serve residents from Cass County, Iowa, and many surrounding communities.

    We are committed to providing our residents with an active and engaging quality of life through daily programming, social and educational activities, and services that promote physical health, provide mental stimulation, increase engagement and help our residents thrive in a home-like setting.

    Care Initiatives is Iowa’s largest nonprofit provider of high-quality skilled nursing care, hospice care, assisted living, independent living, memory care and more. With 60 locations across the Midwest, Care Initiatives and the team at Atlantic Specialty Care are ready to assist.

    I have been a resident since July of this year. The treatment given has been phenomenal. My wounds are given intensive treatment!
    The staff is friendly. One can usually develop a pleasant rapport with any of them.
    Food service is fair, with a varied menu that has changed from summer to winter menu. I am anxious to see the offerings!
    A great place to visit and see if your loved one would be cared for in a respectable manner!

    Atlantic Specialty Care is a loving place to live. With it's loving and caring staff, nurses, and aides. They will do their best to help comfort you. I would recommend this facility for people to come and live here. The residents are friendly to all!

    I have had the best time here at Atlantic Specialty Care. The staff was so tending to my needs. I loved all the activities, and the physical therapy team was the best at getting me back on my feet. I'm walking amazing now. Thank you for everything that ASC has done for me. If I ever need anything again I will come right back here. They were awesome.

    My close friend lives at this facility. Whenever I visit I always see friendly nursing staff and are welcoming. The CNAs are very attentive to my friends needs and the nurses are kind and caring.

    Created in 1989, Care Initiatives is the largest nonprofit operator of quality skilled nursing locations in Iowa. Today, Care Initiatives operates a total of 43 skilled nursing care locations, two assisted living locations, seven independent living locations, and eight hospice office locations.
