Situated on the edge of town, the residents and guests at Mechanicsville Specialty Care are treated to the distinguishing characteristics of what it is to live in Iowa. With a pasture-like back yard, spacious private and semi-private rooms and warm, caring healthcare professionals on staff, our Mechanicsville Specialty Care is a safe, comfortable homelike setting.

Our home is also the ideal spot for those needing a short stay to recover from injury or illness. Our nurses and nurses’ aides work with physicians and therapists to develop an individualized care plan for each of our residents. Our physical, occupational and speech therapists are available Monday through Friday and have the latest, state-of-the-art equipment to improve the quality of movement, healing time and getting patients back home as soon as possible.

While staying with us, we plan a variety of activities to keep everyone socializing and involved. Many enjoy our outdoor walking paths, relaxing on our patio, gardening, and planting flowers. Afternoons and evenings are filled with Bingo, game nights, reading groups, crafts and regular musical entertainment. Holidays are always celebrated and family and friends from the surrounding community come in to share the day.
