Hospice volunteers recognized at annual ceremony
Care Initiatives Hospice was well represented at the Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Iowa Annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony held Sept. 25 in Ankeny. Eighteen staff members and volunteers listened to State Representative Joel Fry as he discussed “Caring for the Volunteer Spirit”. Afterward, seven Care Initiatives Hospice volunteers received recognition for their efforts.
Odebolt Assisted Living celebrates insufficiency free survey
Odebolt Assisted Living, affiliated with Odebolt Specialty Care, has plenty to celebrate. They’ve recently completed their bi-annual survey based on the Recertification Monitoring Evaluation program conducted by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals (DIA). The results of the survey are an insufficiency free report. This means no deficiencies were reported.
Centerville student spends summer volunteering
Centerville Specialty Care had an usual volunteer this summer.
Mason Lund, an 11-year-old, began coming to the facility almost every day around June 1 and continued up until he started school again in August.
Lund is a student in the Seymour School District.
