Community rallies to make seniors’ spirits bright
(CEDAR RAPIDS, December 2020) Celebrating the holiday season looks much different than past years. However one thing remains the same – the holiday spirit. This was made evident to the residents and staff at Heritage Specialty Care in large part due to the Cedar Rapids Police Department and the Linn County Attorney’s Office.
Ravenwood celebrates the season of giving and receiving

In the early part of December, Ravenwood Specialty Care was able to update more than half of their residents’ beds to the latest technology. As a result, their good fortune is also benefiting the elderly and frail thousands of miles away.
Wapello Specialty Care welcomes new administrator
(December, 2020) Alexa Saco has joined the staff at Wapello Specialty Care as Administrator. She is a recent graduate of the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in health and human physiology and a master’s degree in healthcare administration.
A native of the great Chicagoland area, Saco returned to Chicago for a few years and worked in software sales. During this time, she became an advocate for her grandfather who was living in a nursing home.
