On January 8, 2022 Care Initiatives announced its membership with the Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI). The healthcare organization will become part of the network of more than 1,500 members who are a unified voice for Iowa businesses.
The membership is a step forward for the organization as it continues to focus on recruitment and retention of quality talent across their 58 locations. “Now, more than ever, the recruitment and retention of health care workers is the most important issue for Care Initiatives. We’re excited to support ABI’s efforts to encourage the Iowa Legislature to continue funding Future Ready Iowa, work-based learning opportunities, apprenticeship programs, and other initiatives that will help upskill our existing workforce and prepare students for the careers of tomorrow. These legislative priorities are especially important to ensure that we have enough health care workers to serve future generations of Iowans,” said Care Initiatives’ Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, Abhay Nadipuram.
ABI mirrored their feelings of excitement in a statement from their President, Mike Ralston. Ralston stated, “The Iowa Association of Business and Industry is excited to welcome Care Initiatives into our network of more than 1,500 members. As a statewide organization, ABI represents companies across various sectors and industry issues. Care Initiatives and its communities in rural Iowa are critical to the continued vibrancy of this state and access to healthcare for their populations. ABI looks forward to working with Care Initiatives to address the workforce challenges and opportunities in our state.”
Care Initiatives will attend their first ABI event as members on January 12 and looks forward to collaborating with ABI to fulfill their mission to nurture a favorable business, economic, governmental, and social climate within the state of Iowa so our citizens can have the opportunity to enjoy the highest possible quality of life. “Our goals and missions are tightly aligned,” stated Care Initiatives CEO, Mike Beal. “ABI’s mission of providing Iowans with the highest possible quality of life mirrors that of Care Initiatives’ to provide the highest quality long term care for our Iowans. We look forward to this partnership.”
