WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (Sept. 27, 2024) — Eldora Specialty Care was presented the 2024 Governor’s Award for Quality Care in Health Care Facilities by officials from the Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals and Licensing (DIAL) on Friday, Sept. 27. The Governor’s Award recognizes Iowa health care facilities that offer unique or innovative activities to enhance the quality of care or quality of life for their residents.
To be considered, the health care facility must be nominated by a resident or family member. In addition, the facility must demonstrate that it provides unique services to its residents and activities provided enhance the quality of life. Quality measures and compliance with DIAL standards are also reviewed.

This award serves as validation for the hard work and dedication that our team members provide. It truly is our pleasure to accept this award for providing high-quality, compassionate care.”
Eldora Specialty Care is one of two facilities across the state to be chosen from more than 700 nominees for the 2024 award.
DIAL Director Larry Johnson, Jr., said, “It’s very evident that the staff at Eldora Specialty Care take pride in what they do and want to provide the highest quality of service for the residents.
