Care Initiatives locations recognized with National Quality Award
AHCA/NCAL awards 2024 Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (June 7, 2024) — Care Initiatives is proud to announce that five skilled nursing locations have been recognized with the 2024 Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) recognizing a commitment to improving the lives of residents through quality care.
This distinction is the first of three progressive award levels through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program. The Program honors health care providers across the nation that have demonstrated their dedication to enhancing the quality of care for our nation’s elders and individuals with disabilities.
The five locations recognized include:
- Eldora Specialty Care
- Mechanicsville Specialty Care
- Pinnacle Specialty Care (Cedar Falls
- Southridge Specialty Care (Marshalltown)
- State Center Specialty Care
“This recognition demonstrates our dedication to excellence,” said Johanna Volm, Care Initiatives Vice President of Clinical Services. “We are committed to providing high-quality care for our more than 2,500 residents and patients, as the largest non-profit senior health care provider in the state.”
The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program is a rigorous three-level process reviewed and evaluated by trained experts against a set of nationally recognized standards for organizational excellence. The standards of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program help organizations achieve superior performance over time to improve the quality of life and care of long-term care residents.
