Corning Specialty Care receives national quality award
July, 2019 – Corning Specialty Care has been recognized with a 2019 Silver – Achievement in Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). The award is the second of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which spotlights providers across the nation that have demonstrated their dedication to improving quality of care for residents and patients in long term and post-acute care.
“We are all so proud of this recognition,” said Administrator Bo Geidel. “The key to our success is our committed team. Their hard work and dedication to improving the lives of the residents we care for every day is why we are in this position. We are dedicated and looking ahead to the next level.”
Based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, the AHCA/NCAL’s National Quality Award Program challenges member providers to achieve performance excellence through three progressive levels—Bronze, Silver, and Gold. At the Silver level, members develop and demonstrate effective approaches that help improve organizational performance and health care outcomes. Corning Specialty Care may now apply for the Gold – Excellence in Quality Award by further developing comprehensive strategies that meet the demands of the full Health Care Criteria for Performance Excellence.
Corning Specialty Care will receive their award during AHCA/NCAL’s 70th Convention & Expo, October 13-16 in Orlando.
