O’Riley earns specialized hospice certification
Becky O’Riley with Care Initiatives Hospice has earned distinction as a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse.
O’Riley received her RN from Southwestern Community College in 2010. She worked in a long-term care facilities prior to joining Care Initiatives Hospice in 2015. “I was inspired to go into Hospice care because the end of life deserves as much care and consideration as the beginning or middle of life,” O’Riley said. “I feel blessed to be a part of this intimate time in the journeys of our patients and their families.”
Care Initiatives Hospice provides hospice care in whatever setting is best for a patient, whether it be a nursing home, assisted living, hospital or at home. Hospice care is a Medicare and Medicaid benefit and is covered by most private health insurance plans. Hospice care is about providing comfort and support for both the patient and the family. Hospice care is tailored to each patient’s needs and is geared towards increasing the quality of life at such a vulnerable stage of one’s life.
