Nurse celebrates 30 year career with Creston Specialty Care
On October 4, Administrator Lori Harvey had the honor of presenting Lisa Wilson with her 30-year anniversary plaque.
Lisa has worked for Care Initiatives beginning at Creston Specialty Care on October 9, 1989. She started out working as a Certified Nurses Aide and then advanced by becoming a Certified Medication Aide. She continued her education and obtained her LPN license in 2001.
Lisa was instrumental in starting the restorative program at Creston Specialty Care by being in the pilot program. After getting the program up and going in Creston, staff from other facilities would come to be trained to do restorative care in their Care Initiatives buildings.
She briefly transferred to Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola to start a restorative program there and then later returned to Creston Specialty Care as a Charge Nurse.
Lisa Wilson lives in Creston and has five children and 12 grandkids that she enjoys spending time with. She enjoys crafting and making wreaths to fit every occasion in her spare time.
Congratulations, Lisa Wilson on being a 30 year employee with Care Initiatives!
