July, 2018 - Chariton Specialty Care has earned an overall 5-star rating by the federal government’s Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for its skilled nursing care and rehabilitation services. Skilled nursing facilities are rated quarterly based on health inspections, staffing and quality measures of 11 different physical and clinical measures of residents. Chariton Specialty Care is Medicare and Medicaid-certified and undergoes a rigorous on-site annual survey by CMS and/or a state of Iowa inspection team.
