Crestview Specialty Care receives Governor's Award
Crestview Specialty Care in West Branch has received the 2015 Governor’s Award for Quality Care in Health Care Facilities. The award was presented to Administrator Cheryl Mercer and her staff at a ceremony in late July by Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds and Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals Director (DIA) Rod Roberts. 2015 was already a great year with the facility receiving its fifth straight annual “deficiency free” survey result by the DIA last spring. This is the second time the facility has won the Governor’s Quality Award. The last time was in 2006.
The facility was nominated by the family of a former resident citing, “We feel our mother had a wonderful quality of life while she was at Crestview. It was not just mom; they treated every resident with dignity and compassion and knew what was important to all the residents.”
